VOLUNTEERING AT GOOD HOPE IS GRATIFYING, FUN AND A GREAT WORKOUT!

Volunteering at Good Hope is a great way to make a difference in the lives of individuals within your community! We are seeking volunteers to serve as team members during our equine assisted programs and with the regenerative farming food production for families in need.

Volunteers are people who give their time and services to benefit our programs. Some bring skills in horsemanship, while others bring skills in leadership, and other experiences and abilities. Our volunteers make a difference in the lives of others. They are the heart of our programs and their dedication to our mission is the reason why we thrive. Our Volunteer Orientation and Training Schedule will be found online in the near future. This is a big move for our organization and a great opportunity for you to enroll and schedule your volunteer experience today!

Volunteers Must:

  • Be willing to attend appropriate volunteer training.
  • Be committed to volunteering at your scheduled time at least once a week per 12-week period.
We expect a level of maturity from all of our volunteers, and we want to accommodate all experiences and abilities! It is up to the staff of Good Hope to determine if a volunteer is a good fit for the responsibilities that are asked of them.

We Are One Volunteer Club

Beginning in the Fall of 2022, We are One Volunteer Club will begin to match adult mentors with youth to assist them in learning EAA skills and regenerative farming practices, while also showing them that their efforts can promote positive change for others. This opportunity will help youth establish a cognitive connection between effort and positive outcomes, thus supporting the development of a new generation of altruistic citizens.

Additionally, GHERF will recruit university students to serve as the mentor volunteers. On average, 20 community residents (ages 19 – 75) serve in volunteer capacities each quarter, which has aided the ability of GHERF to initiate services and meet the needs of our participant base. Adult mentors will be matched with We Are One youth participants, with the goal of pairing ## matches each quarter. We Are One matches will help expand organizational capacity of GHERF in offering quality equine and regenerative farming programs and services.
