Here at Good Hope Equestrian & Regenerative Farm (GHERF)
In 2020, the board of directors and executive staff of Good Hope Equestrian Training Center (GHETC) made the decision to relocate the organization to south central Virginia to expand its mission, ensure the sustainability of the organization and to provide our specialized services to the communities within this region. In July of 2021, Good Hope Equestrian Training Center (GHETC) changed its name to Good Hope Equestrian & Regenerative Farm (GHERF) and became a Virginia-based not for profit organization where the hope of healing the soul and the soil come together! The new mission of GHERF is to provide quality equine assisted and regenerative farming practices to children, youth, and adults with and without disabilities to enhance their independence, personal potential, and quality of life. Using the horse as its tool and its 270-acre facility as its classroom, Good Hope is committed to developing quality equine and regenerative farming program services to meet the educational, vocational, recreational, and rehabilitative needs of the community. The goal of each program is to build upon the unique gifts of each individual, enabling them to successfully improve their body, mind, and spirit through the healing powers of the horse and the knowledge and application of healthy living through regenerative farming practices.
Our specialized programs include: Private Equestrian classes (individual/group), Equine Assisted Therapy and Activities, Educational Farming Sessions, Endless Strides, Horses Serving Heroes, Horsin’ Around project & the Red Helmet Club.
